Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and maintaining documentation to uphold our commitment to quality.

Responsibilities 

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and vision inspection systems to assess product quality.
• Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics and performance.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
• Participate in internal audits and assist in the development of quality systems.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to quality assurance.

Experience 

• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100).
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and vision inspection systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, including data collection techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence in decision-making related to quality issues. 

Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Production:

• Set up and operate laser engraving machines and UV printers for a variety of materials (e.g., metal, plastic, wood, acrylic, etc.)
• Interpret job orders, specifications, and digital artwork files to ensure correct execution
• Calibrate equipment settings for speed, power, resolution, and alignment based on material and job requirements
• Load and position materials accurately and securely before starting production runs
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality

Design & File Preparation:

• Prepare and adjust artwork files (e.g., vector graphics, raster images) using design software such as Adobe Illustrator or similar
• Ensure artwork is correctly formatted and scaled to fit engraving or printing requirements
• Collaborate with design and sales teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues with artwork

 Quality Assurance:

• Perform quality checks on all engraved and printed products for accuracy, alignment, and finish
• Rework or flag any defective or subpar items
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure a consistent, professional product finish

 Maintenance & Safety:

• Perform routine maintenance on laser and UV equipment, including cleaning optics, replacing filters, and calibrating systems
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE during operations
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors immediately

Qualifications and Skills:

• Familiarity with laser engraving and UV printing equipment and software
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
